Brown Sugar Challenge #51 - card one

First can I apologise but I can't seem to get links to work on my iPad or if I would tell the truth I don't know how to do it, so please forgive me.

It's hard to believe its Friday again and as Im sitting beside the pool in sunny Salou  as the kids are splashing about and the hubby lying sleeping I am writing up this post for Brown Sugar Challenge #51.

The theme is - Anything Goes

For this card again I used some spotted paper which I received with a magazine which I matted onto pink card.  Then i placed a piece of ribbon over the middle of this and took a piece of blue check paper also free from a magazine matted onto yellow card and placed it to the left side of the card on top of the of first layers.  My image is from the paper nest dolls and is coloured in with promakers, matted onto a piece of pink card from my stash and placed towards the right side of the card.  The sentiment is from lily of the valley and mounted onto a pink scallop circle.

Our theme for this challenge is Anything Goes

This card is in the shape of a easel card, s standard a6 size.
I used some free papers I got in a magazine and mounted it onto pink card from
my stash of scraps.

The image is from our sponsors Bugaboo Stamps which I coloured
with promarkers and mounted it onto a pink base, which was cut with a spellbinder die -
A2 card creator - polka dots and used my hot glue gun to attach the flowers. To hold the easel
part upright I used a piece of pink ribbon about one and half inch wide with a piece of ribbon on top
from my ribbon stash.

I stamped a happy birthday sentiment and used one of the narrow spellbinder dies
from the same set.

Brown Sugar Challenge #49

Oh my were into a new month and a new Brown Sugar Challenge.

This week has been a little challenging for me as I lost my son to 3 days trekking over the Sperrin mountains for his Silver Duke of Ed.  He left on Tuesday and the weather was awful it rained heavy all day and he said it was really hard, but thankfully hes home all in one peace but really tired and sore.  Ok that's enough of me wittering on ...

Our theme for this weeks challenge is

Beach

My project for this week is another layout.  This photo was taken last year in Florida when we visited Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins.  The picture was taken in the beach area where you could snorkel in among the fish, there was all sorts all size.  There was the biggest stingray fish I ever saw, I didn't like them much.  Oh I'm wittering on again, right let me tell you what I did before I get sidetracked again.

I used a plain piece of blue card from my stash and a piece of DCWV paper from my stash.I matted the photo onto a piece of blue card the same of the background and then onto a piece of yellow card.  I used some sticker embellishments and finally a digital image from Digi Darla Designs.  My image is Digidarlas Snorkling.
I coloured him in with promarkers and cut around the image, it came along with little bubbles which I used clear dew drops to highlight and cut the little fish out and stuck it to the side.  I thought the image was just right to go with my photo.

Sushi Dolls Design Team Call

Hi All

Todays card is for Sushi Doll Design Team Call

The image I used is call Slurp Slurp.

I coloured the image in with promarkers, gone round it with salty ocean distress ink and
matted it onto some green card some my stash.  The background paper is some
DCVW summer collections and believe it or not I have this for long long
time and I have brought it out once or twice and put in back in again not bearing to
cut it.  The stickers were from the same range which I bought from one of the shopping
channels.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and remember to look in on
Sushi's Blog and have a look around.

Brown Sugar Challenge #47

Good morning everyone.

This last fortnight has been a little hectic, my daughter Katie has been in France for a week , my computer decided it had enough of this world and died, going to medical appointments and finally hunting my son and hubby of to Scotland for a couple of days.  So forgive me for my blog entry being a little late.

We have a new challenge over at the Brown Sugar Challenge Blog
and the theme for this week is

Summer

and instead of doing a card this week I decided to do a layout of my son ready to go for a swim.  He was about four and a half here who is now turning seventeen.

I used a piece of blue 12 x 12 card stock and sponged some green, white, red and yellow paint on top.  The image from our sponsors today was coloured in with promarkers.

folder on red co-ordinations card stock and sanded it back.  My image (28301 - river walk) is from

with black utee using one of Martha Stewart moulds.  I have to thank Hels Sheridan
