Aubery wishes you a Happy Birthday

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Over at Brown Sugar we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: Brown, black and blue

This weeks card I found quite easy to do as I didnt have to colour the image, my base card is kraft card stock layer with a piece of black card and then my patterned paper edges with a mix of vintage photo and hickory smoke distress ink.

The piece of brown card stock from my bits box was embossed with a happy birthday embossing folder and then i lighlty rubbed a victage photo over the top.  When I attached it onto my layers I attached to wee silver tool charms on with hot glue.  The happy birthday sentiment is stamped with faded jeans distress ink and I went over it lightly with a paint brush to fill in the bit that was missed.

This photo shows the little of the inside of the card with is black, blue and brown card stock layered with a matching piece of patterned paper as the top layer.

I didnt have to colour in my image this week as I requested one already coloured and it was the perfect colours for our challenge.  The image it from our sponsors

Happy Birthday Princess

Good morning everyone and welcome to my blog.

Its starting to get a little colder here and its well seen as I have the pleasure of a sore throat and a bit of a cough.

Well were at the end of another week and that means we have another wonderful challenge from

Our theme this week is - Anything Goes

My image this week is  BBKakes - Flora Fae and colour
with my promarkers.
White card is used for the base card and for my image and sentiment.
I used blue card stock using stormy sky distress ink around the edge, embossed
with tiny dot from spellbinders.  Stamped and embossed with a christmas reindeer, believe is or not as I started out making this as a christmas card.
the flowers and made from blue and white card stock using the bity blossoms die from spellbinders, the folage is a tattered lace die also cut out of blue and white card.
The bow is made with cream seam binding coloured with the stormy sky distress ink with a wild orchid bling in the middle.
I used little bling gems above and below the sentiment.

#105 Brown Sugar Challenge

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog.

Its hard to believe that we are into a new month already, is it me or does anyone else think this year is flying by.  Well dear I say it, its Friday again and its time now for another challenge for Brown Sugar.

Our theme this week is Colour.

So here is my project -

The size of this card is not quite 6x6.  I am trying to use up what I've got in my stash so I apologise for not knowing the brand of the patterned paper I used and I thought it was the closet to the colour palette we had to used.  The image from our sponsors was coloured in with my promarkers and I attached yellow card candy to highlight the flower centres.  It was mounted onto a decorative circle from Spellbinders and then mounted onto blue card stock from my stash.  The flowers are from wild orchid crafts.

The kraft and blue flourishes are from a Spellbinders D-lites die - Corner Sprigs and the little flower in the bottom right had corner was made with Spellbinders D-lites die - Blooms 2 the centre is a blob of 3d collal glue with glitter over the top.  The birthday wishes stamp is from a freebie collection I received in a magazine stamped onto kraft card and punched out with a stampin up label punch.  The bling swirl is from a set I got out of Works bookshop ages ago and never used.
