Meet Allistair the Alligator

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Over at Brown Sugar we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: Spring

So here is my card for this week

Say hello to Allistair the Alligator, he is a digi image from our sponsors this week, (details below).  He is coloured with Steadtler and Crayola pencils and blended with Spectrum Noir blending solution.  He is cut out using Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics B, and if you can see from the photo I cut around the end of his tail and slipped the die undersneath so its hanging of the page, then I matted it onto a distress yellow patterened paper and olive green cadstock.

My background is done using the same distress yellow paper with a co ordinating patterened paper from the same stack.  the harlaquin was cut using the sizzix thinlets mixed media dies.  The both of these are then layered on the olive green card stock.  Finishing off with three black gems on two of the opposite corners.

Olive green card stock
Black gems by Great Expressions from The Works
Sizzix thinlets mixed media dies by Tim Holtz

My card is made from a piece of white card stock 15cm x 15cm layered with a piece of purple card and pattern paper.

The poinsettia and foliage is cut out of glitter card, the centre I made out of faux pearls and a little wire.

Time to Celebrate

Hi everyone thanks for stopping by.

Over at Brown Sugar we have a new challenge starting today.

Theme: Pearls

The card size is 7 x 5 white card base, a piece of pattern paper layered onto pink glitter card.  Using a  WRMK corner chomper I rounded the corners of all my layers as well as my card case.

The sentiment was stamped with archival ink in coffee as I thought the black was a little to harsh.  I made my border using patterned paper out of the same paper pack, layered onto a grey card stock and the border edge was made using a corner punch then I added the pearls.

I used some gel sparkle pens and spectrum pencils to colour in the hair.

My image is from our Sponsor
