My Bestie Challenge - Card 3

Hi all

Here is my third card for the

The image again is one of Sherri Baldy digi images and was coloured in with my promarkers, you can get the image from her

The the fur collar of the images dress I put some glitter on it as well as her ear-rings and I used a Spellbinder die to cut the image out and backed onto red card.  The pattern paper is from a set of papers I received free with a magazine from a designer range called Damask Rose.

The flowers and leaves are from Wild Orchid Crafts trimmed with stickles glitter glue.  The bling ribbon is mounted onto a red ribbon which is from Stampin Up, this is then mounted on some white glitter card mounted onto red card.

My Besties Challenge - Card 2

Hi all

Here is my second entry for the

I have another neices who's birthday is in June so I will keep this one for her. The paper I used on this card is also from a set of free papers by Jennifer Ellory which I received with a magazine.

The top photo looks as if its just an ordinary card but as you can see from the above picture it is a easal card.  Again I used one of Sherri's Image but this one is one of her latest with you can get on her etsy store HERE or website store HERE.

The flowers and leaves I have used are from Wild Orchard Crafts and the Bling swirls are out of my stash.  The lace ribbon I got off Ebay sorry I can remember the details of the seller.  The pink card is embossed with swiss dots embossing folder.

This image can be purchased HERE,  I coloured this image with my promarkers and backed it on blue card.

The little butterfly and bling ribbon was from my stash.   I stamped the sentiment in pink ink onto white card and cut it out with a spellbinder labels die, also cut it out in pink and blue card stock.

My Besties UK Challenge - Card 1

Hi everyone and welcome back to my blog.

Now that everything is back to normal or as normal as it can be in our house with everyone back to work and school, I thought I would take time out and blog some cards (in separate posts) I made for a Challenge and DT call over on

I am hoping this will do my niece for her birthday at the end of May, I cant believe she is coming 20.  The years are just flying by too darn quick.

This image is from My Bestie by Sherri Baldy, her images are gorgeous and you will find the HERE in her etsy shop and also HERE on her website.  It was coloured in with my promarkers and the papers where from a freebie set out of a magazine by Jennifer Ellory - Floral Papers.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pearl spirals are from Creative Expressions.  I used an embossing board on the blue card swiss dots and I also used a spellbinders die to cut the fancy lattice behind the blue card, the pink card stock is out of my stash.

Wishing you a Happy Birthday - #91 BSC

Happy Friday everyone.

Oh my hasn't this fortnight flew, its seems no length of time when my daughter started her easter holidays from school now she is on her last school day of them.  She asked me at the start of her holidays if I would take her to a place called People's Park, based in County Antrim here in Northern Ireland.  Its basically a large play park with slides, swings etc and theres a large pond filled with various birds.  As usual the weather is unpredictable and it is dull and wet compared to yesterday, but we will go anyway and feed the ducks, maybe it will dry up.

Well its Friday so that means we have another challenge on the

Our theme is week is - Anything Goes

So here is my project

The size of this card is about A5 in size and its a cream hammered effect card.  I took a A4 piece of card and folded it in half and then centred up the dies on one side.  When I putting it through my Ebosser I only put the cutting plate over the half of the die and then embossed the whole thing, so only half of the die was cut.  Then I folded this half again which popped out one side of the shape leaving one side in the card.  I have used a image from our sponsors details below and coloured it in with promarkers.  I cut it out with a spellbinders die - Grand Decorative Ovals One (the second smallest one) and then inked it up with Antique Linen distress ink.  Then I attached it to the card with Cosmic Shimmer glue.  The sentiment is from a free stamp set I got with a craft magazine and I used another Spellbinder die to cut it out Labels Thirteen.

The flower Display in the corner of the card I handmade it myself with satin material cut into various size circles, I took a lighter and went round the edge of them to slightly melt the edge, stuck them together with glue and put one of my wee centres in the middle.  I added a stick pin and a pearl sprig which I made myself and I added a feather to finish it off.

The inside of my card is done using the same paper from a free sample 6 x 6 paper block with a magazine - Webster Pages combo pack - Western Romance & All About Me.  As my card was bigger than the size of the paper I do have a join towards the top so I cut a die from the Grand Decorative Ovals the smallest one out in a lovely light blue card, this could be used for a personal message or sentiment,  I also used a small corner cut from a Spellbinder border die out of the Vintage Lace Accents.

Inkspirational Challenge and DT Call

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog

Today is my first day of my Easter holidays for a week and a bit, kids are off now from school and work and hubby finishes tomorrow for a week.

I thought I would enter a blog challenge this week and also a design team call over at Inkspirational so wish me luck

This card measures about a 5" x 5" and has a white card base.  I took a piece of Hot pink glitter card cutting it down to size and layering a piece of white card over the top, which was cut out with a Spellbinders die from Botanical swirls and accents.  I placed the die in one corner and cutting it with my ebosser and the turning it round and doing the exactly the same thing in the opposite corner leaving about 3/4 " in the middle.  I placed a piece of brown stampin up ribbon along the centre securing it with double sided tape, the I took some stampin up jewels - basic pearls and place them in the middle of the ribbon from the die cut to the corner.  My topper in the middle of my card was from my stash  and I do remember purchasing it from create and craft.  Using a Tattered Lace die - Beautiful Blooms I made up some wee flowers and place these in the bottom right had corner.  The adhesives I used in this project was Cosmic Shimmer dries clear glue and some double sided tape.

I used a sketch that was on the Inkspirational blog to make this card.

Thanks for stopping by and having a browse, why not go on over to the Inkspirational blog and have a wee look on there
